So back in August (yes I'm slow as ever!); a non-explorer friend and myself visited The Springs in Wallingford, which at the time was a bit of a local tourist trap; but it was an afternoon out!
It had really dawned on me at this point which way this hobby is going these days. No word of a lie...
The Explore
So the day started at 2.30am with a plan to hit Haslar nice and early.. soon as we arrived we were spotted by lots of secca and the game was up before it even started sadly.. with our first explore failing miserably we started on some backups with Carmel being one of them. Really...
Opened in 1959 and closed in 1991, it's an absolutely fantastic ROC post, with many original features intact.
It was quite the cold evening and my second outing with a DSLR which i thoroughly enjoyed, here are a few pictures from my visit.
