Again, I know this has been covered multiple times but it’s SO local to me and, as I’ve only started doing this recently, I HAD to come here!

Don’t really know the name of what it used to be but I’ve seen it called several things so finding any history related to it was quite difficult. The only thing that seemed to come up more then once was that a graffiti artist by the name of “Big Trev” gathered a group of other artists and cleaned the place up some years back as it had become a dumping ground for flytippers I suppose (although it’s in quite bad condition).

We got off to a sketchy start (like most time, eh? ?). We parked up and I swear to god I saw someone/something slowly slide back from the first window of the building! My first thought was “aaah somebody else has come to look around”....but we didn’t bump into anyone else or even SEE anyone in the area. The building reminded me of something you’d see in a horror film or a thriller movie, the endless corridor of rooms stretching back further then first thought with each room almost completely identical other then then the graffiti and completely covered every inch of concrete. Just when we thought we’d reached the end of the corridor, there seemed to be another building laying at the back of the site. After a little climb and a wrestling match with a bramble bush and some overgrown bushes, I managed to make my way into the entrance. From my experience as a rugby and football player, this building was DEFINITELY a locker/changing area. Again, graffiti adorned the walls like a warrior carrying old battle scars, the second entrance completely blocked by an overgrown shrub and a rather large hole in the back wall showing the local train track over the back of the adjacent field. Started to make my way back through what I assume would have been the car panel for the site, making sure nobody saw me from the VERY near by housing estate, there was ANOTHER building lol. From the front it looked like it may have been modelled on a castle or a keep perhaps with a high tower-like structure where the doorway would have been and a small attached building (completely inaccessible as the greenery inside had taken over far too much to get in) that had the felt roof pulled down over the windows and door making it look as though someone had made a camp (not gonna lie....thought I’d find something terrifying in there....maybe homeless, drunks/druggies or worse....KIDS!! ?). I made my way back into the main building to link back with my wife and we took some pictures and made our way back to the entrance.

Hope you guys enjoy this as much as I did making it. Thanks again

Hi, welcome to OS and thanks for posting. That's quite some graffiti there! I like the shot through the repeating widows going into the distance.

Just one thing - we require the date to be included in the title. Can you let me know the month and year of your visit and I'll add it to this one. Thanks :)
