I have been requested by the owner of this site to not give any details of the location and also not to give his name so sorry for the title.
I came across this blokes details one night trip way back months ago when I was escorted from the grounds of a mill and given a number to ring by the security guard, weeks passed and then out of the blue I rang the number, explained who I was and what I was into etc, by the end of the phone call I was given a mobile number to ring and an address to go to when I had a free night to (in his words) I’ve better things to show you than what you were looking at !.
So time passed in fact a few months passed and I forgot about this bloke until last night when I rang him and went round expecting 2 or 3 engines to photograph, never was I expecting what I did !!!
This post (mini report) is just a scratch on the surface for what is to come.......there is so much here the next time I go will be better laid out (taken outside) and better photography too so sorry for the poor quality pics. There is a range of caterpillar units including one or two from the RLNI all fully restored and working, a car dating back to 1904, a tank transporter and tank !, several 1930s to 1950's wagons etc and all sorts to be honest it was awesome .
What I was expecting would have been 1/2 to 1 hr of my time instead over 4 hrs passed. By the end I was asked to come back for a photo shoot of everything for the owner and also for myself on the grounds i did not give any info on him or the location i was at......that i will keep !.
On with the scratch into the surface of this place. before i posted this I was thinking to make this into several mini reports due to the different things within this area but as i do not believe my pictures are good enough for several reports dut to the cramped conditions they were taken in so ill stick em all in one until i can obtain a better and deeper representation of all what there is to record.
