Access to the hotel in the mountains in northern Italy.was a bit laborious. It could have been easy from the front. But there were too many people on the street, so we chose the strenuous way along the back hill.

Unfortunately I don't know anything about the history. Visited with @The_Raw

What an astounding place to see. The detail is incredible.

Other than the obviously beautiful ceiling, this is lovely;

You're right. But it was the last place at the end of the trip and after it we had to cope with a several-hour return trip to Germany at night.
So my energy and strength was not the best anymore. And I hated the climb over the hill. In terms of that, I have at least been able still to take some nice pictures, I think, even without to squat for that ceiling. ;)
