History
Clockhouse Brickworks was a Hansons factory built on a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) near Capel in Surrey. It is a site for palaeontological and sedimentological research covering an area of 32.4 hectares. Similar strata are seen at Warnham. The factory was phased out of production during early 2009 due to the downturn in the construction industry, and a lack of housebuilding projects. Since that time it has sat disused exposed to the elements gathering dust.
Explore
After a rather eventual (and picture-less) explore at Shoreham, @CuriousityKilledTheCat and I headed up to Clockhouse. i was pleasantly surprised with this one, and i'm definitely glad i finally got to do it. Lovely chilled explore, although i did get covered in crap and soaked thanks to a torrential downpour of rain just as we were leaving!
as always, thanks for looking!
