Visited 2011 with Mr Bones,Tommo and Waddy.
The earliest reference to quarrying dates back to 1833,when an earthquake caused the death of a man in a rockfall.In 1906,2 wood fired kilns were installed for producing industrial grade lime,but upgraded in 1926 to 6 coal fired kilns.
As far as I know,this hasnt been demolished,and to be honest,given its location,I think nature will simply reclaim it.
All in all,a damn good mooch was had by all..
