As in every city in the Soviet Union, there was also a Palace of Culture in Pripyat.
In total there were over 137,000 in the entire Soviet Union.
It was certainly the most architecturally designed building and the cultural center of the city.
A huge glass front on the outside and many elaborate paintings on the inside.
In here there was a theater, cinema, swimming pool, sports hall, boxing ring and also a library and various meeting rooms.
In some of the adjoining rooms there is still quite a bit of propaganda material stored today.
