These sheds opened in 1846 and were closed in 1958 and have been left abandoned ever since, grade 2 listed but in really terrible condition. The second of the sheds has a huge crack in the lintel and probably won't be around much longer.
This isn't really a huge site; but it has its own atmosphere and is also pretty photogenic. Access is also good fun with a jaunt along live rails
Just to add finally, we explored this site WITH permission from Network Rail, and we had a key to the gates, exploring this site without the key would be a nightmare, can try it if ya want but I'd say it probably isn't worth the effort
