Been passing this wreckage for some time and today decided it was time to take a look. With my long suffering wife firmly planted inside the car along with her book,I took a look around probably thee most derelict building I have done since Royal Arthur. As of yet,I have patchy history but I have found out that Gaston E Marbaix inhabited this site up to 1999 when they went bust, but I have since learned,a company called Platons took it over afterwards, but they now reside in the Viables estate in Basingstoke.
Gaston Marbaix seem to have begun in 1915 manufacturing various aspects of engineering and equipment and in its later years made nails and fixings, although I have found little proof of this as yet...If I get more info,I will add/edit this.
