After this place came to my attention, and with a little information for Sheards, Myself and @-Raz- went for a mooch about
History;
Opened in 1938 as a middle school, under a different name, the school had a limit 340 children aged between 9 and 13 with 18 staff. In 1996 the middle school closed and it was shortly there after opened as a special needs school, this time with only 48 pupils (aged 11 - 16). Wakefield council moved the school sometime in 2015 to its currect location on Rookhill, Pontefract (On the former Chequerfield School Site).
The explore;
So after having gathered a little information, found the place and mapped a route in where we wouldnt draw attention to my chav'd up car in a neighborhood of about 5 houses (Not easy - Need to invest in some camo netting so i can park it in the shurbbery ). A short but muddy walk later we were faced with one of those shitty green fences which by there very nature are designed to be a real pain in the but. But over we went regardless. Now the hard part, finding access, and it wasnt easy. Im a small guy and built like a whippet, and i struggled. So hats off to @-Raz- who is not only taller but has much broader shoulders, and who claims he cant climb.
Once inside, we proceded with extreme caution. It all seemed a little too good to be true. Tidy, clean and quiet. Very quiet. Moving out of the first room and into the corridoor and all seemed well, no alarms. So with a bit more confidence we mooched on. First classroom we went into, i forgot to check the corners, and i froze as the PIR sensor lit up, expecting the alarm to go off.
1... 2... 3... Nothing. Silence :mrgreen:
So in my little fuck up, we had confirmed that the alarm was not armed, so everything became very relaxed and we went for a mish around at our own pace.
This was a cool little find, by far the best sports hall ive been in in a derp. Even had a quick bounce on the trampoline
A quick introduction to Camelot;
This is the first time we've come across this, but its well worth being aware of;
uk.cameloteurope.com/
Sustainable housing and security rolled into one. This idea is logical and will probably and rather inconveniently kick off in the UK pretty soon
Thanks for looking
