So leaving the canteen behind, wandering through the site wondering what is next on the agenda.
"Oh my days!" Said I
"The only way you will get your lardy arse through there is if you strip naked and cover your self in goose fat, breathe in and prey". Muttered one of the voices in my head.
Oh Ye of little faith! In without exposing my greased up little soldier to the world.
Not quite what I was expecting, it stuffed with all sorts of personal detritus. as though the civic amenity site was closed so the bin men dumped it all in here. After a bit of a rummage some nice treasure.
Museum quality, a couple of issues of Das Kapital, 19th C works by Karl Marx, cost eight Deutsch Marks, which ceased to be legal tender in 2002.
From the artwork I get the feeling that the accordion sheet music could easily be Mid 20th C, or earlier.
Happy smiling faces, the workforce? mainly girls and women, were the menfolk off fighting wars?
Happy families and kiddies books, there were lots of childrens clothes scattered about too.
Someones discarded wedding snaps.
All I can say is that this bloke is definitely punching above his weight.
An engineering shop
Warning of smoking and open flame being forbidden, and not to allow equipment motors to run creating a poisonous atmosphere.
Now that circuit breaker would be one big fuck off switch!!
Quite modern engineering equipment, from pedestal drills, abrasive wheels through to this lathe. Not a lot left to see in here, time to grease up and slither back out.
Next time.... The coal hopper,
