Krampnitz Barracks, Germany - August 2014

Another installment from the Euro Tour with the SOCC bumbex group.

This time we visited Krampnitz Barracks, lovely weather to start with, then bucketing down with rain and thunder and lighting, properly got soaked! But it was worth it for the main goal the famous Nazi emblem on the ceiling.

First stop was the first building we came across, Full of grand halls and murals, great way to start the explore!

Next was trying to get to the main goal, but to get there avoiding the downpours and security driving around.

Finally we arrived at the building we were aiming for, now to find access to the room, only one way in, and it took a while to get there, but it was worth it!

That's fantastic mate and just went right up my wish list. Shame about the graff in many of the rooms however, it's not the place for it but what can you do. Is the nazi symbol still intact today do you know or have they covered it up? Thought I'd heard something about it being covered now but I could be wrong

It's exactly like it is here mate, the symbols actual swastika is covered by thin plaster but you can make them out, great spot to go!
