Great Britain Locomotion one pub September 2019

On the outskirts of Newton Aycliffe stands a derelict pub called the locomotion one. The locomotion has been empty since 2017 and was closed down due to a suspected burgalry. The pub originally closed down due to refurbishment, however with the burgalry that was committed, all of the value of the pub was lost and unfortunately the owners could not proceed with the refurbishment due to finiancial purposes over the stuff that was taken. As seen in some of the photos, some of the rooms look stripped out, that will be because of the partial refurbishment that was happening before the burgalry took place. The building is now left to rot and has been trashed quiet a bit already. There are no futher plans as what to do with the pub, so it remains empty as of the moment. When exploring the pub, we found it very weird how one of the upstairs rooms had a concrete floor, looked as if it was from a patio floor, but built a room around it. That all being said, the pub is sadly left behind to rot but we found the explore quite interesting.

Think this place was having a wee bit more than a "refurbishment" - its an utter tip. The owners abandoned the project due to a burglary? sounds a bit fishy. I smell spontaneous combustion occurring soon...

As has been said, please let us know the month and year of visit - it will help others who may wish to visit.
