According to someone else's research (so it might not be correct!) it seems Maes Mynan is located very close to the former Palace of Llewelyn, the last Prince of Wales. Its certainly a very pleasant location and back in the day it must have been quite a grand place. It was at one time the home of the local Sheriff and briefly served as a WW2 hospital. Most recently it was used as a 28 bed care home which shut in 2013. It was bought for £600,000 about 2 years ago and there were big plans to convert it into an 'escape room experience'. That was supposed to open summer 2019 however last time I swung by there was no sign of this happening.
