A late eighteenth or early nineteenth century watermill, (O/S 1820)
The machinery, including three pairs of stones and an overshot waterwheel bearing the maker's name Turner & Jones, Ruabon Foundry, is virtually complete.
The wheel, 17ft in diameter and 4ft 3in wide, is set on a large cylindrical iron axle and has iron hubs and shrouds with wooden spokes; the wooden buckets and sole boards have largely rotted away. The wheel was supplied with water through an iron pipe and iron header tank, set directly above the wheel.
The corn mill functioned until 1948
