The Visit
Again this visit was with the The-Raw, Extreme Ironing and 3 non members, this one was a little trickier but fun, being a live site due to the demolition crew being in there and the fact trucks were going past (sorry Extreme for making so much noise when that bar fell through the floor when the steel plate I was standing on moved)
little bit of time and some thought was had (hard for me I know) and we were in..couldn't find the control rooms but a nice explore and some chill time on the roof was just what the doctor ordered.
History
The Power Plant IM was owned and was operated by Electrabel. Electrabel generating electricity and heat while supplying electricity and natural gas to 6 million people.
The history of the Monceau-sur-Sambre Power Plant is scarce but it is said to have begun around the 1930′s and was a coal powered operation. The Power Plant of Centrale Electrique ceased operations in 2006.
