Last installment of the Scottish Contingent Belgium adventure. On the last full day we aimed to hit this awesome explore. Being the third of the day we had high hopes of a easy entry and a good ole jolly round here for a couple hours, best way to avoid the blistering heat anyway!
First stop was the Cooling Tower, found it without a problem, but we were not convinced we were at the right place, finding it wasn't very hard the thing is bloody massive!
We couldn't see the infamous spaceship and outdrop to doom. We persevered for a while and after me wading through a couple inches of wet sticky mud I found my inside the giant and was gifted the sight I had come to see...
Unfortunately the overflow bit had a blooming dodgy climb so we decided to give it a miss.
Onwards to the main plant itself, a quick drive (very quick with Baron at the helm and the three nodding dogs terrified for our lives braced ourselves for the impending doom. But we made it to the parking spot, fingers deeply embedded in the cars interior. Making our way to the entrance road, a police van booted it round the corner and headed straight to where our goal was! Shit had we been busted before we even got in, was it other explorers busted inside or attempting entry??
We headed for what we thought was the entry, but it ended up being a slip road to a electricity pylon, maybe luckily enough we took this wee detour as the van we heard zoomed back out. Fuck it lets get moving down the hill towards our main target.
We snooped about for a bt and heard more vehicles travelling up above us, shit was it the cops again, maybe security? We hung around for a little while deciding what our next move was. That move was to send Goggleman off in ninja mode to scope out the area, we got the all clear and off we went in search of an entry point. Shockingly the fearless Baron took the fear and refused to come with us, he decided he would go off in pursuit of a another explore, so off he went it was just down to Lost, Scattergun and myself to enjoy the delights of this Powerstation had to offer. We were soon in, and it appeared we had the place to ourselves.
The shear scale of this place is monumental, definitely one of the largest buildings I have ever set foot in. This was the smaller section of the building containing two smaller turbines, even though the pikeys had been in and done a lot of damage, it was still awesome!!
I thought those were big, but the next room, which I didn't fully grasp I was in before until I was higher up, had the mother of all turbines!!
There was also a slightly small engine behind the main turbine
I next headed for and found the labs and control room.
Next stop was to climb the big buggering gantry crane in the main hall. It was bloody high again, if actually even made the turbine look small, but it is anything but small!
Then I found this creeper and his little minion lurking around in the cab.
It was time to leave sadly, a quick couple of externals before calling the Baron to come rescue us. Turns out he was betting in trouble from the local cabbies, hmmm I wonder what he was up too!!
Thanks for looking!
