RAF Upwood. September 2015.

 After the fence at Severalls and a tense mooch at the Old Nuttfield Hospital a more relaxed explore was needed and this place seemed to fit the bill. One I have always fancied the look of this. And the bonus of some tanks to have a look at as well. So I stopped off here on my way back up North. I had been warned that the place would be full of kids and my source was not wrong with two groups knocking about as I arrived. Spent a really relaxed couple of hours here. The place was that full of kids running about that I thought that it was a free for all and nobody was keeping an eye on the site or interested in it. So, it was[SIZE=13.3333px] with some surprise that I obversed two young lads running across some open ground. Not long after a security van came into view. My first though was fuck it, I'll crack on. I knew there was enough groups of people to keep him busy and I was heading away from them, further up into the site. Suddenly another couple of lads came running passed me franticly telling me that security where here. I thanked them for there info but told them I had already seem him and went to carry on. Then I heard the dog.....It did not take me long to realize that carrying on was not the best of ideas. A mad dash is the best way to describe what happened next with, me and a group of kids all running toward the exit. I sat on the safe side of the fence for a while hoping that they would clear the place quickly and fuck off. It was not to be, more screaming, shouting and barking came from the site and, with a hour and a half drive to my digs I called it a day at Upwood. Never got to see the bloody tanks in the end [/SIZE] :lol:

Hard luck, mate. Had a good mooch here a few months back and didn't bump into any secca, just a bloke with a small holding on the site who was initially aggravated but then quite friendly. I may have to pop back if I'm in the area to see if they've amped things up, just for the sake of LULz and some good video footage! Glad you had fun though.

I loved it here. Found it quite photogenic in places and the decay was lovely. Even made friends with a pigeon!

Did not make it to the infamous Pigeon Tower unfortunately
