I heard the old girl was coming down very soon (for sure this time I'm told), so it was time for a re-visit to say goodbye to the place. I know, I know, it's far gone and it's had its day, but I like it. Something about those gorgeous corridors, and the way the decay is in this place is just still appealing somehow despite how far gone it is. Not to mention the history... I'm a sucker for an asylum :L
I'm sure you all know the history, I've done it before, along with half of the internet, but here's a link just incase -http://severallshospital.co.uk/#/history/4532878444
I went round with a friend and three non-members, and didn't really spend much time on shots inside the main hospital, I got so many the first time, just enjoyed the wander really, although my mate was seeing it for the first time, and loved it Great day all round, and then, by pure luck, we stumbled upon access to the church, and my day was instantly made. I'm hanging through, with the others calling to me "well? is it worth going in??" Is it heck I've been wanting to come across a piano for a while now (I don't know why, I've just been obsessing over it...) and while it's not quite the grand piano of my dreams, an organ is better than 'nout (I lagged behind for far too long in here, and could have spent longer just messing with angles and whatnot... the others gave up and left me to it outside in the end... ) The church has certainly survived a lot better than the main building too! But anyway, enough of my rambling, here's some photos
