visited with @woopashoopaa the school has now been closed a few Years now. Was pretty trashed and was hoping it was going to be better on the inside as had high hopes from what it looked like from outside but didn't actually take any externals.
HISTORY- sunnymede primary was southports last remaining independent school , opening in 1964 and closing at the end of term in 2010 after celebrating its 50th anniversary .
due to the falling number of pupils joining the school and increasing costs and the sheer amount of red tape and paperwork from the overbearing interference of the government education policies put paid to this once much loved local independent school .
day pupils paid £5100 per term , the school catered for 3-11 year olds , the school could cater for 141 pupils at full capacity , the much loved headmaster was mr s pattinson.
until the boundary changes of the early 70s the school was part of the lancashire county education board , then ended up in merseyside to the dismay of some.
