Located in a small town in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy, this municipal theatre was built in 1907 in the Art Nouveau style. It was redesigned in 1923 with a more traditional layout consisting of a first level gallery, two levels of boxes and another gallery on the top floor. In 2012, it was damaged by an earthquake and has been deemed completely unusable ever since. As well as structural damage throughout the building, the staircase between the third and fourth floors has collapsed, and this is the only way of reaching the lower levels from the top. The railings are the only thing holding on, so you have to manoeuvre down those with a 3 storey drop below you. Probably not the brightest idea but it certainly made things a bit more interesting. It was mostly pitch black inside the auditorium (to the naked eye) so I had to do long exposures. Wish I'd spent more time shooting the rest of the place but ran out of time unfortunately. Here's the best of the bunch.
