The last dance is danced, the last sound is faded long ago...

Once here was a pub with the name "Lindenthal". After its demolition of around 100 years ago, the ballroom "Wintergarten" (winter garden) was built with a great dance & theater hall and three lounges. In the 1920s, the "Wintergarten" even had its own orchestra.

In November 1989, here was still an assembly of craftsmen, but soon after that meeting the ballroom was closed. Abandoned since 25 years now, and some windows were stolen in 2012, what has left its mark.

The place is a well known Oldie in Germany. My first visit was in summer 2011. Various ceilings are collapsed since then.

That's ace mate. It actually looks like not much of a difference in the hall shots, other than the floor caving in in places. Cool share (y)

Very nice, i like the 20th centuary decor and the way the place has decayed.

In the UK it would be full of graffiti (everywhere) and probably burned down by now

It is sad in a way but I love how the decay looks in a place that once was so grand in its heyday.

Don't think I would be busting any moves on the dancefloor though , it looks a bit of a deathtrap!

Nice Andy! I like this, looks like a bloody death trap but even more reason to risk your life just to get a great pic haha! Love how everything is so decayed yet the ceiling rose is still completely intact. Beautifully shot (y)
