The Horror Labs - November 2013

Once a successful veterinary school, the buildings known as the Horror Labs now lie abandoned, since the closure of the establishment in 1991.

This impressive site is a set of 19 distinct houses, pleasantly separated by courts and gardens.

All the façades are Neo-Renaissance Flemish style.

The buildings date from early 1900's and are now listed as a historical monument.

The main building is known for its grand lecture theatres, beautiful marble corridors and a basement filled with twisted treasures.

Visited with The Baron of Scotland, Proj3ct M4yh3m and Mr Dystopia, on the last day of the S.O.C.C's Franco-Belgian Tour of 2013.

Love how the mood changes from light and beautiful corridor shot and lecture theatre to ... well ... the specimens that lurk somewhere. Great lighting, I imagine it's not easy.

These Euro tours look so amazing, a different world to the one I sometimes inhabit.
