Another oldie. Visited seven years ago, during my ninth trip to Romania (now I have traveled this country eleven times, and in a few weeks I will go there again).

Indeed, it was an accidentally find. Originally I drove to that village for another location, and then I saw this one, too.  :)

The photos were taken without a tripod (annoyingly I didn't have one there) and with higher ISO in the evening, so I'm sorry for the bad quality.

Furthermore, the first two pictures were taken through a window pane (the seemingly open window rear right still had a grid in 2009. Therefore, this ornate room was not accessible at that time).

---

The place was already known for its mineral-medicinal springs in the Roman Empire.

The sulfur thermal bath was built in the style of Austrian Baroque in the 19th century and was expanded after the Second World War.

I don't know exactly when it was closed.

---

Recently I saw actual photos. Unfortunately, today the building is in a considerably worse condition. And as far as I know there are no plans for renovation.
