2015 is rapidly turning into the year of the derelict school for me...
After a couple of early fails myself and jo headed off vageuly westwards and happened to be passing Walsall when I remembered I had seen photos of an old school floating around from a few years back but nothing since. By this point we were game for anything as we were itching to get a photo of something so we parked up and headed up the drive to the school, not knowing whether we'd find it a burnt out wreck (this being Walsall after all), demolished or trashed to hell and back. I think we were pleasantly surprised when we found it as intact as it turned out to be - a bit of graff and someone has done a hell of a job smashing up the toilets but other than that it was relatively sound, if a little bit empty and dark.
Oh and the best thing about this place that I managed to totally forget about until I walked right into it? The hydrotherapy swimming pool!
Three Crowns was a school that catered for a very small amount of special needs students at any one time, all of whom needed one-to-one care and teaching. It closed in 2006 and has sat empty ever since.
No externals as it was literally just a 1970s single storey slab of grey and chipboard, not inspiring at all.
Thanks for looking, more here https://www.flickr.com/photos/mookie427/sets/72157650545393520/
