Last week I travelled through Italy on my Vespa again - 1500km in 5 days. I love the story about Alice and Nelly so I decided to explore. Although I had the exact coordinates I nearly passed the cottage as it is completely overgrown by vegetation. Even when I stood directly in front of the building I doubted first coordinates were correct.

You're are both right. On the one hand it is a cool way of travelling (I'm always on small roads so I often find new places on tour; besides Italians love me/Rosinante) on the other hand travelling is quite slow so I need much more time to reach a location (after five days on the road my butt bloddy hurts).
All in all I definately love this way of exploring.

Like this a lot, looks a quirky little place, I love how Pavarotti is on the TV and at least if you want to see something else you could watch TV in the other room ?
