Another Belgian location that's taken me a few attempts to crack that I finally crossed off the list....
On my first ever trip to Belgium me and my mate were travelling cross country and my mate decided he needed another memory card for his camera, so we pulled into a large electronics shop to buy one. A year later on my second trip out Villa Heil was on the to do list, and as we got closer and closer I suddenly realised that right across the street from it was the very same electronics shop we had pulled into a year before, when the fact there was a large derelict house directly opposite was unknown to us! On that occasion we found it sealed so carried on, shaking our heads at the incredible coincidence. I next tried it in December last year, we were inside for no more than a minute before being kicked out by people in the lawyers office next door, my most gutting bust ever. But last weekend we rocked up on a Sunday morning and got it done!
Villa Heil is one of the best large derelict houses in Belgium, and although a lot of stuff has grown legs and walked out of there over the last year or so it's still well worth a visit.
