Zeche P -- November 2014

Yesterday, I went to visit a friend. A while ago, he moved to the middle of North Rhine-Westphalia, specifically the known Ruhr area, because of a girl he met on the interwebs. While planning the ride, I was looking here and there on Google Earth if there's something to visit, just to find most things torn down or turned into parks. The day scheduled, literally the last minute possible to make a detour in time, I found out the town where Zeche P is located, turning out to be 30km from where I wanted to go, anyway.

Sadly, it was a rather rushed job, but at least there's a few pictures that came out OK. The nearby powerplants were clouding the sun, due to the cold weather, which was a bit annoying. A flashlight would have helped the explore, and some glowsticks to create a setting of some pretty dark rooms. Alas, maybe the coming summer...

Also, there seems to be some sort of cold war between visitors and the owners of the place, because there's plenty of new welded joints blocking access to the office buildings.

I was there in summer, but I have almost only taken pictures from the rooms with the metal baskets.

Ha, you kidding me? I was there last Friday, too. Well, I arrived there pretty late due to traffic jams, but since I stayed over, I went there Saturday again. If you have happened to see a white VW Golf 7 with Belgian license plates, that was me.

--edit: Now thinking of it, that office chair ladder, was it your doing or was it already there? :V

nah, don't know what ladder your talking about, we got there rather early, but traffic over the weekend was crazy, accidents everywhere
