Germany St. Urban Church April 2019

[Ghost-Scooter]

Built in the early 20th century this church closed its doors in 2008.

Although there was an open window and a ladder I decided to take the way through the tubular shaft beneath the church to enter the location.  It has been something I've been looking forward to since planning the trip. Unhappily I did'nt expect 3 days of bad muscle soorness. ? ?  I have to admit that i left by the window.

That really is a stunning building and I like the mixture of different picture style/composition. I find the window glass design really interesting - not sure if its common in that area but it seems really unusual to me.

I am not sure about the style of the window glass. But I know this kind from mainly modern churches (at least in this area of Germany). I suppose them to be renewed after the second world war which would mean it's the style of the 50th or 60th.

I tried to find out more about the church but information is rare.

Just to make sure: the thread title is of course not the  clear name of the church. I think it's named St. Urban because it's situated right in the center of the town's living area  - quite urban.
