While on a euro derp trip with Starlight to tick off some of the bits on our list we were given the heads up by The_raw that there was a disused steelworks not far from some of the other bits we planned to visit.
We didn’t really have much information about the place or anything to go off...
I had driven past this place many times on previous trips and didn't even realise it was here. Various turbines in a massive hall. I believe it use to power the neighbouring industrial site.
Thanks for looking!
No idea how this ended up on my map, it's not normally my kind of place but we were in the area so went for a mooch. It's situated in a beautiful setting alongside the river with a waterfall and stream nearby. Clearly it was once an elegant property but now it is suffering from neglect. I quite...
Quickly popped in here for the second time and it has gone seriously down hill since my last visit. The back of the building has completely collapsed now and the inside is looking ever more sorry for itself. However the piano at the top of the stairs still makes a nice scene so it's worth...
Chateau Foret was built in 1860 and has been unoccupied since the 1990s due to a family dispute. We were extremely lucky to get in here, most people who have managed it before have had to pay for the privilege. Never thought I'd see it with my own eyes, thankfully we took a chance and it paid...
This was another stop on one a 3 day euro trip with a couple of good friends, and i'd been wanting to see this one for a while. I think we missed the boat on this one, as there was a sign up outside with plans for redevelopment, and not much to see inside - although a couple of shots still to be...
Farm 1881 - what a lovely little place this was.
It was the first stop on a euro trip earlier in the year. Was a nice chilled explore with no hassle. I enjoyed this one, especially for the amount of features it had. Was definitely a 50mm heaven :D
Unfortunately I don't know much history...
Morning,
Another report from my euro weekender in Feb. Didnt know wether to put this in Religious sites or Hospitals, lol.
Quite enjoyed this place, in the middle of a busy town and visiting on a day where loads of tourists were out with there cameras, we had to get ourselves in 1 at a time...
Sure, this place may have been a permission visit, but boy is it worth it. The final stop on our first day trekking round the country, and a bit of a last minute addition to the list, we must have spent and hour or two in this place, there was so much to see. Made a nice change not looking over...
Now, why on earth this is called Maison Dave, I have no idea, but some of these names, you just don't question... Personally I would have called it Maison du Cheval, vis-a-vis the blindingly obvious fact that the ex-residents were well into their horses... Now... being a horse lover myself, the...
Afternoon all,
Hope you are all enjoying the Easter weekend :)
This place was very dark inside and very hard to get some decent photos. No history at all either im afraid. We hit this on the second day of 3 (if i remember correctly)
And yes, we hit alot of residential locations on this...
Evening all :) I've been gallivanting around Belgium again :D This time with @Vulex, @BlocksPhotography and a non member. I'm spending more time out there than I am in the UK at the moment, and I've certainly hit more locations than UK ones... Whoops, I'm becoming a local!
Another absolute...
Morning all,
Ive been rather lazy editing photos from my Belgium trip, and i think this is only my 3rd report from 17 locations i visited.
This was our first location we hit on the first day, and never even got the details of location until we were getting on the Eurotunnel, as it was en...
