Good Morning all! This was the first stop on our little up North tour. 20 hour round trip and no sleep! This was a nice little place, been on my list for a few years now but never really decided to go and visit until now. Access is one of the funniest I have ever encountered and we bumped into a...
Just one of the locations on the second day of the Smelly Sheep weekend (name decided by AndyK!).
;) Really enjoyed this one, been wanting to see it for a long time, sure some things have gone missing over time the the carpets and the furniture but this place still holds enough features to be...
I visited this place with The Elusive and two other splorers. Abandoned hall and quarry, now in ruins and overgrown. Beautyful place. And big. Very different from what I find back home.
A very wet, great fun and very early morning splore :-)...
This one was fun and was worth the wait! At first we were having trouble getting in here, access that people had been using recently had been sealed but i'm not usually one to give up!
Eventually after about an hour of hanging around i'd done it :D (thanks Miz Firestorm). I love a good climb...
I wasn't sure about Nettleham Hall to begin with because I heard it's just ruins and not worth it, but it's not a bad place for a nice chilled out explore.
It was impossible to find on Google maps but once I got to the gates I knew where I was.
It would have been a nice place to visit when...
This is a stunning culvert considering it just runs under a field
I had a look at the infall first but that was a complete no go so I walked down to the 12x18ft brick outfall.
Pretty much straight away the depth of the water fluctuates between a couple of inches and waist deep from one step to...
Today I went on my first explore to Nocton Hall. (I'm new to the whole photography thing so don't expect amazing shots)
Armed only with a cheap (£100) 16mp Panasonic Bridge Camera and a Samsung Galaxy S4 I set off on my Journey from Lincoln to Nocton (On a bmx as I don't drive) Google maps...
Originally a court house then later on changed to a town hall. The outside holds a lot of promise from the front it looks like a castle! Sadly not as good inside but well worth a visit.

I travelled up to York for a wedding last week so decided to make the most of my time oop north and spent a couple of days in Sheffield. I visited the courts with Acid- Reflux who was kind enough to revisit the place on my behalf. Seeing as I had my suit with me I figured it would be rude if I...
I went to visit my mate who lives in nowheresville, Lincolnshire, and on the way stopped to visit a couple of sites. Our primary target was sadly not accessible, so made a slight detour to look at Ferdowse clinic and Nocton hall military hospital.
I have visited Nocton before, and although we...
I would imagine this place must have been amazing to see, in its hayday. its rumoured to have had 24 peacock shaped topiary in the gardens. Here some history courtesy of wiki.
Beaudesert was an estate and stately home on the southern edge of Cannock Chase in Staffordshire.
It was one of the...

So it's a normal mundane Tuesday afternoon at work and a text comes in from ZeroUE. Was I up for exploring a location that's been sealed up for ages and needs visiting ASAP before it's sealed up again? It...
I have had my eye on this for a few weeks & now finally done it... (me & 4737carlin)

Scrappy and I visited this place with some new friends - Mars Lander, Shush, Lowri to name but a few! Big thanks to them for inviting us to join them on what was a very fun explore :)
This place was MASSIVE, you could get lost in it. We had some close calls with people on the grounds, visitors...
I can find absolutely no history behind this farmhouse at all. Save to say, it's a six bedroomed possibly Victorian dwelling attached to a defunct farm.
This had to do this at night been a bit of traffic in and out during the day so i apologize for the pictures.
I wanted to get in before they ruined it but i was a little too late.
The Hanson family are mentioned to have lived here in the 16th century.
The present house was built by Joseph...
When I saw photos of this place I thought - wowee gotta go there.
But the anticipation can be better than the realisation. The place is absolutely shot, impossible to see anything upstairs and downstairs is pretty limited as far as interestingness goes. Anyway, I hope that some of this gives...
this was my first time back here in over 3 years and the place has got a hell of a lot worse, most of the stairs have gone and a lot of the ceilings have collapsed or ready to.
The hall was built in the 1560s for the Winstanley family of Wigan; the Winstanley family were lords of the manor...
Not an explore as such so if admin feel it has no place here fell free to remove it.
Zero81 and I spotted this on our way to somewhere else and liked the look of it
and were intrigued. It is situated in the private grounds of a posh boarding school
for 8-13 year olds.
Info from the schools...
I stumbled across this place and from images seen it looked quite promising.
It has been on the Market at £ 2, 500 000.00 and later down to a
bargain £ 1, 500 000.00. It has six bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and a selection
of outbuildings including guest accommodation and stables.
It comes...
