The Grimsby Ice Factory is a historic former ice factory that was constructed from 1898–1901 to provide crushed ice to preserve fish stored in ships at Grimsby's seaport. The Factory engaged in operations up to 1990. The buildings still contain some of the original historic machinery from...
Recently moving into the area ive been finding some great little treasures, this is pretty much on my door step. Spotted at night whilst on way back from a night/star shoot and went back in day for a recce. I believe this has never been done so wasn't very hopeful. Looked well sealed, with metal...
RAF Stenigot Home Radar Station
The Explore
I’ve lived in and around the Lincolnshire area now for a good few years and always fancied taking a look at these massive dishes but they always seemed to be on the backup list if all the other backups failed. A friend had just received his shiny new...
I think we all know and love this place so ill try and keep it short and sweet. A nice long re-visit to this place with zero. We was lucky and clever enough to get in 90%+ of this place, lots of dodgy climbing, balancing and ripped clothes was worth it.
Designed specifically to facilitate three...
Visited with Hamtagger and Session9
After a cold night in Severalls and considering exploring a close by Hospital (That we soon found out wasn't derelict) we decided to head over to Tolly Cobbald Brewery.
By this time we had been awake for about 40 hours and been to the poshest McDonalds on...
RAF Nocton and Nocton Hall
The Explore(s)
This is my local photo practise area. Somewhere i've visited more times alone than with other splorers, probably about 8 times now including once with Matt Inked and once with Session9. It's very much past it's sell by date and in a poor state of...
Sleaford Bass Maltings
One of those days when you find yourself with exploration withdrawal symptoms and it's too late to find a partner in grime.
So I decided to take the short drive to sleaford solo to check out this huge complex. I was "going in dry" so to speak, with only
some google maps...
Visited with Hamtagger and Session9
It's been a while, but I'm back and I'm staying here for good. 2015 should be full of awesome explores so I'll be posting a lot more often on here now. Severalls was one of the first places I ever wanted to do but due to distance it took a while to happen...
Lincoln Cathedral Roof
The Explore
A considerable amount of planning, recce'ing and good old fashioned snooping went into this one. Myself and Matt_Inked had been chatting about the possibilities of pulling this one off for quite a while. During a recent recce trip we were only expecting to...
Had a bit of spare time on my hand and I needed to take a photo for my UNI work so thought we would head up here as I had not been before.. We knew it was a bit trashed to say the least.. The top floor is soaking from leaking sky lights, so be careful as it is only a matte of time I guess till...
Visited with Hamtagger
After a recce 2 days previous we were itching to scale the Cathedral walls like ninjas. With cameras surrounding the building and nosey neighbours in every house, we knew we needed to be careful. The fact that the building is 700 years old made me a bit paranoid that if...
I wasn't sure about Nettleham Hall to begin with because I heard it's just ruins and not worth it, but it's not a bad place for a nice chilled out explore.
It was impossible to find on Google maps but once I got to the gates I knew where I was.
It would have been a nice place to visit when...
The day began with hamtagger and i en route to Derby Royal Infirmary. There were a few undesirable chaps there weilding bats so we left after an hour or so. I still got an alright partial report out of it though (Feel free to check it out ;) )
On the way back home to Lincoln we decided to...
Ferdowse Clinic, also known as Heckington Manor.
Nice to tick this one off the bucket list, explored in the company of an urbex instagram buddy. Was supposed to be an earlier explore but due to a last minute piss-up on the Friday night I was a broken man in the morning and had to reschedule til...
Today I went on my first explore to Nocton Hall. (I'm new to the whole photography thing so don't expect amazing shots)
Armed only with a cheap (£100) 16mp Panasonic Bridge Camera and a Samsung Galaxy S4 I set off on my Journey from Lincoln to Nocton (On a bmx as I don't drive) Google maps...
I currently live about 2 miles from St. Johns and I've been driving past this place for almost a year now. Access has eluded me on a few previous failed attempts, but recently got lucky and spent 5 1/2 hours exploring the innards. I was conscious that this location has been reported on a lot so...
This is my first post and I'm aware this place has been covered a few times but not for a while so here goes.
Set off for St John's Asylum and was highly disappointed that all possible ways in to any of the buildings have recently been reinforced with copious amounts of 6 inch screws. Gutted ...
Visited back in July 2013 with Urban witness.
I cannot find much information on this only that it was a tavern as far back as 1872 before becoming a private home with attached farm shop and nurseries.
The tavern itself closed its doors for the last time in 1974
.
Not much to say about this one really. Its a church, its hidden away, it hasnt been chaved up and it is a really relaxed explore.
Visited on a solo quicky mission in Lincolnshire.
here you go....
Thanks for looking, the rest can be seen on my Flickr.
