I found this tank at a former military trainig area around Munich. The associated casern was closed in 2001. The tank was used as military target once. It is the only one left of originally 5 tanks.

A repair facility of a big steel factory here in Belgium. Abandoned for many years but still surrounded by razor wire .
Here they repaired the trains and also other equipment used in in steel factory (radio's, chargers,....).
It' took some walking to see all of the building (and still...
Two weeks ago I decided to visit a small mill that I had on my list for a long time. At Google Maps I saw two buildings that turned out to be the mill and the miller's residential building. I did'nt expect too much but was very happy in the end. Although the mill is abandoned for many years it...
And old 18 century house with had a bank function. The building is stripped of all furniture an will probably be renovated in some future.
Needed to be a little bit inventive to gain access to this one. But later I was all alone, with the only sound coming from the people in front of the...
Information about this old brewery is rare. It must have been shut down in the late 1990's when the owner built a modern one in order to increase productivity.

I found this small house in the woods near Munich. Almost cleared it still got a certain charme as it hides a little local treasure - the mask of a Krampus.
The Krampus is a figure appearing in the Bavarian tradition of St. Nicholas. Whilst St. Nicholas rewards the brave kids on the 6th of...
In January I visited this abandoned part of a hospital that is still in use. Unfortunately most of the rooms were almost cleared - but nevertheless worth to be shown.

The small chapel is idyllically situated on the hillside. Standing at the foot of the hill, the building is almost invisble. Thanks to the season, the knowing eye is able to spot the chapel between the sparse vegetation. Following up the slope for few minutes, a small weather-beaten wall...
The chapel, with ten-part rose windows, was intended simply as a funerary chapel, not a place of worship, and intended to be non-denominational. The floor plan is in the shape of a cross and the main entrance was covered for access by horse-drawn funeral carriages. Winding wooden staircases in...
I didn't know if the property was still accessible. For this reason, I checked it the night before. The next day I visited the historic mansion in the early morning.
I was very tired, but I was rewarded with some nice wall and ceiling paintings.

I found the ruins of that chapel, located at the edge of fields, while searching on Google Earth. Because unable time and to far away from the day-route, it wasn't possible to plan it into the daily program of the tour. So I've decided to visit it at night and to take the pics with long exposure...

A well-known orphanage in Italy.
The access was easy. Although in the center of town, but no one is interested in it.

The large hotel with several accommodation wings and surrounded by an old park was built in the nineteen-twenties. The spa centre in the hotel used water which was particularly rich in mineral salts. The Hotel was closed about 2007.
It took a while until we found an open access. After about...
A friend sent me the coordinates of the castle via SMS at the last day of our Italy tour this summer. And since it was on our way, we drove there.
A restorer was present, who opened us and gave us permission to visit it.
(Visited with Miaro Digital.)
The castle was first mentioned in the late...
