Yes, and no. There was obviously work going on, and there were some wires and portable lighting. Picture 5, all of the flooring is brand new. But I didn't see any tools or generators, or scaffold towers. I expect it's all locked up, or work has stopped. It seems a lot of these places were bought a few years ago when companies had money to gamble with, now they realise the job ahead and the true cost, and have ceased work. Part of me hopes that is happening here.

Yeah it is quite probable that the money pot has run dry more recently. It is a shame that it has lost some character from the works but they have done a good job so far of restoring it while keeping its original features. I heard that the archives had purchased it and plan to use it for storage. The core samples that were over the far side had been removed last year and given to the dover museum.

they where core samples from a/the channel tunnel i do believe
