The tradition of glass production goes back to 1595 and was led by a so-called "glass dynasty" until 1906. After that there were changing owners.

In 1951 the company was taken over and manufactured pressed glass.
In 2006 and 2007 companies in eastern Germany were taken over.
However, as a result, the company got into financial difficulties.

The district experienced an enormous boom thanks to the glass factory.
More than 800 people were employed there at weddings.

In May 2011 the company filed for bankruptcy and was taken over by the Czechs.
When it was discovered in 2013 that the tub was having problems, an application for provisional bankruptcy was filed. In November 2013 the almost 200 employees lost their jobs and production was stopped.

The melting furnaces and other technical systems are still in the buildings.
There is also a set up apprentice workshop and a foremen's office with lots of glasses for car headlights.

Most of them, however, are large, empty halls.
In different corners you can still find raw material and one or the other of glass.
