As promised in my welcome post, I will be sharing my exploration of St James Asylum, a former mental hospital located in Milton, Portsmouth, UK. It is being converted into Luxury apartments, and Pjlivestry is the group behind the conversion. They are making quick work of it I must say, whenever I go to check up on it, more and more has been removed and added. The hospital was built in 1879 and closed back in 2018. I had been trying to explore this place for a good year or two with no luck, since I'm so local it didn't bother me, I would just keep trying lol. But when I saw a post on my group from another explorer I soon messaged him and he told me how he got in, I tried the following weekend and got in. It was silent, no others, no security and it was a good explore, had to leave to do something though, then a few weeks later I returned to do the rest + the clocktower but was caught by some new security and their dogs accusing us of breaking windows and doors and locks which wasn't true but yeah gotta remain cool. They led us out and I was annoyed I didn't get into that clocktower or any of the other interesting parts, work did begin stripping the building out and demolishing any newer addons which weren't listed but was stillllll a great explore. Sad to see it go though. Hope you enjoyed 😁
