On the web you can hardly find any information about this Neo-Gothic castle. Built mid 19th century, I don't know since when it's abandoned.
Ceilings and intermediate floors are full of holes and mostly collapsed. One of the spiral stairs of the two corner towers is bricked up, a second was...
A small former monastery; somewhere off the beaten track in Italy.
A calendar shows the year 1986, probably it was abandoned then. That's the only historical reference, I own.
Most rooms were completely empty, so I took only a few pictures.

I didn't know if the property was still accessible. For this reason, I checked it the night before. The next day I visited the historic mansion in the early morning.
I was very tired, but I was rewarded with some nice wall and ceiling paintings.

I found the ruins of that chapel, located at the edge of fields, while searching on Google Earth. Because unable time and to far away from the day-route, it wasn't possible to plan it into the daily program of the tour. So I've decided to visit it at night and to take the pics with long exposure...
The Blue Chapel forms part of a monastery in Italy. The area above the altar is painted blue and the high level windows flood the space with light and create an amazing blue glow behind a suspended figure of Jesus on a cross.
The chapel is beautiful. It is a large space with ornate decorations...
A well-known orphanage in Italy.
The access was easy. Although in the center of town, but no one is interested in it.

The revisit of the castle this summer was not planned. But we drove there by chance, so I visited it again.
There were removed some windows and doors, since my first visit three years ago.
The oldest parts of the castle are from the 12th century. There have been renovations and new buildings...
Another Italy noms report from me, this place is seriously a gem and it's a place that I had wanted to see for so long. It's last use I believe was as a casino/hotel sort of thing. There were signs of it once being a public tourist sort of place.
There's some proper nice architecture in here...
Italy noms. On arrival here we began to doubt if we'd gain entry as it looked like things had changed around the perimeter of the building. Our original access wasn't looking possible, but persistence paid off and we got to see this gigantic place
:) The main highlight of the hotel is the...
Did this location on our trip in august through North Italy.
One of the highlights on our trip, we did it in the very early morning, because we had a tight schedule that day.
Could have easily killed a few hours in there, but after two hours we had to go...

The large hotel with several accommodation wings and surrounded by an old park was built in the nineteen-twenties. The spa centre in the hotel used water which was particularly rich in mineral salts. The Hotel was closed about 2007.
It took a while until we found an open access. After about...
Getting on quick with these Italy reports now. I'm aiming for at least one a day for now
:) This place is just massive, it has its own chapel and cinema, it's been left for many years and has become slowly wrecked over time, but amidst all the wreckage and graffiti some great stuff still...
A quickie, but a nice one...... Villa Margherita is an abandoned house in Italy. An ornate staircase curves around into the entrance hall. The house has been cleared of all content but the architecture of the staircase and hallway is lovely. That's about all I know!

More Italy nommage is coming. This place is truly stunning, when we turned up we had no idea what to expect inside and the external of the building is also very deceiving. But this place is just flat-out ceiling porn central, including some other great features here and there.. Everything in...
Second report tonight, not doing too bad! Been wanting to get this set up for a while now, and here it is
:) Visited with AndyK!, PROJ3CT M4YH3M and Kriegaffe9. A nice relaxed explore this with some great photo opportunities, after waking up early and visiting Mono Orphanage to start the day...
A holiday camp for children ("Colonia") somewhere in Italy. What appeared to be a grey, boring concrete building from the outside turned out to be colorful from the inside...
