Opened in 1867 as Moulsford Asylum, also known as Berkshire Lunatic Asylum, Berkshire Mental Hospital and then Fairmile Hospital until closure in 2003.
I visited solo on a rainy Sunday morning back in September 2010, it was a real tricky place to get around, well guarded with active cctv dotted...
Loved my day here..visited with the late great DHL who prior to this had made me trudge thru Middleton mine..feeling fooked,he said he just had to show me Brassington, and I am so glad he did..the man was a diamond and I do miss him...
No history but as per ROC Post general history, this closed...
Another one for the archives really, but still important as most if not all of what I filmed is still there.First visited in 2005 for a post sunday dinner walk, then became one of my obsessions.Be gentle with the quality of pics due to me using a simple Kodak Digi point n shoot..never got into...
.. couldn't believe my luck when a fellow exploring buddy said he’d found a way into this place…so on a cold, wet Sunday afternoon and using the excuse that aforementioned exploring buddy had â€no-one to play with today†managed to get me out of going to a kid’s birthday party… cheers...
I’ve lived in and around Dover all my life and as a kid I can remember riding my bike around some of the long forgotten tunnels that the local council filled in during the 1970’s!
I’ve been down some more times than I care to remember but they always hold a fascination..sadly most are now...
Sometimes you don’t have to travel far to explore stuff..this is almost walking distance from my house!
It’s been abandoned for a while now, history tells that a fire broke out in one of the stables under mysterious circumstances killing several horses and after that the place was just...
Remembrance of Things Past…nestling quietly in the English countryside this sad little house opened up its treasures for us today.
After a somewhat undignified entrance – it’s lucky I’m slim! – and a life threatening walk across some very dodgy floor boards we came across a lovely...
There is an excessive amount of pipe porn in this report and some mild HDR ..the external shots have been spruced up to convey the full horror of the weather !
Well…the weather..the pigeons and the infamous metal recyclers were going to be against us today..after a rather silly way of getting...
.. Well all that Google research pays off with a bit of Friday night action!
Buried nicely in some prime countryside location this place has been left to rot! I am always amazed at the massive amounts of decay that occur in old research establishment; it does make you wonder what went on in...
I believe this also may also go under the title of Hoarders House…it’s in a little cinque port town in Kent..some mild HDR..so look away now if that offends…
Friday afternoon..sunny ..blue sky..epic failure on the first location due to me thinking a group of old decaying buildings looked...
I did this last year and have wanted to go back and do the others; this is one of twenty or so drainage tunnels that take water away from the main Dover to Folkestone railway line.
Back to June 2012…after the epic let down of not hitting up the asylum today we decided to spend our hard earnt...
Luckily this place has been saved..unlucky for us urbex folk..it’s undergoing full renovation now..
Some minor HDR on these pics..so if that offends please don’t look…
I’ve lived round these parts most of my life..I’ve walked past this place so many times and never realised that it was...
My first report in a very long time here, so I thought I would begin with my best ever explore.
I hope you enjoy it.
Visited with a group people I met over the internet, who aren't on any forums.
A bit of history about the site:
Purpose: The British government's alternative seat of power in...
On March 19th 2011, most of the world experienced a 'Supermoon' "A supermoon is the coincidence of a full moon or a new moon with the closest approach the Moon makes to the Earth on its elliptical orbit, resulting in the largest apparent size of the moon's disk as seen from Earth" - Wiki

HH3 was a medium sized general hospital in Belgium that was built around a Chateau or some kind of grand old building in the 1950's. We met some local explorers outside who had been in earlier and exclaimed how it was 'creepy' as they had heard footsteps inside but not seen anyone......strangely...
For me,this is what exploring is all about..yeah,we all can take piccys of various angles etc,but here I met some great new friends who made this explore really worth it.Cant really give any true history on this place as I dont want this place trashed/off the back of my report,so it will remain...
Ok, one of the explores from last year... Quite a cool one, although I didn't feel very comfortable there. We had to enter thru a room with sleeping junkies and they definitely outnumbered us, so we tried to be quick and quite..
Somehow it's an old, but much forgotten location. Haven't seen...
As promised, here's my report on "the bright saint"...
It must have been one of my coolest explores from last year.
At the time of the visit, this enormous monastery had been abandoned for a few years and even though there were many ideas what to do with it, till then they didn't really make a...
