The former general hospital was built at the beginning of the 20th century. After around 100 years it was shut down despite numerous protests by medical staff and the local population. Keeping it in operation was considered "unprofitable" - allegedly also because of not meeting the modern quality standards.

@The_Raw It's pretty modern, yes and I was surprised to hear that they claim the hospital wouldn't be up-to-date anymore... I mean, what do I know, but I don't think it's the main reason.

As wished - and because I have edited a few more shots + managed to visit that hospital a second time - I'll show a few more.

Thank you. I prefer decay, too - but sometimes clean stuff like this (especially hospitals) is simply interesting to explore. I also like the sterile atmosphere about it in a medical context.

Yeah them things, would b several hundred quid on ebay.
It's like morgue slabs, u would struggle to get a ceramic one for less than 1k, people like the morbid & unusual I guess

Yes, that's true. As ugly as they might be (though I quite like them), but they really would be worth a sale. 😅
